How can I prepare for the TOEFL test in 7 days?

Depending on your level of English and your required score it is possible to prepare for your TOEFL test in 7 days. What is the best way to prepare for the TOEFL iBT?

Can the TOEFL test be taken online?

The TOEFL iBT test is a computer-based test and is taken online at a test centre. However, ets is temporarily offering the TOEFL iBT Special Home Edition for test takers who are unable to go to a test centre for health reasons. You do the test on your pc at home and are monitored live online. This requires specific downloads and connections so if you do need to do the test at home it would be a good idea to check if you meet all the requirements and if this service is available in your country.

What is a good score in the TOEFL test?

The TOEFL iBT test is out of 120 and a score of 90-100 is considered a good score to get acceptence into most universities.

How long do I need to prepare for the TOEFL test?

It depends on your level of English and your required score. It's a good idea to be realistic and do some practice questions to see how you do and to ascertain how much time and effort you need to put into your preparation.

Which is more acceptable, TOEFL or IELTS?

Both the TOEFL and the IELTS tests are used to determine English abilities of non-native speakers, however, some universities require the TOEFL  test while others require the IELTS test and some accept both. You will need to choose your university and check the requirements.

Do I need to take the TOEFL test if I am a US citizen?

If your education was done in a language other than English and in a country outside of the US you will need to do the TOEFL test if you want to study at an English-medium university in the United States.

Is the TOEFL test accepted for Australian immigration

Yes, the TOEFL test is now accepted for Australian immigration applications. However, it would be a good idea to check with your immigration lawyer or agent about your specific requirements.
